Earth Day Chernobyl

Radioactive Forest

Mother Earth Bleeding

Alternative ending, Mother Earth Fuckers.

Sunshines of our Ocean Planet, nature can restore herself if we would just let it be.

Chernobyl was recovering and blossoming into a wildlife haven. It was repopulating with animals from amphibians to wild horses.

Now what? Happy Earth Day 2022?

War, obviously unfavorable for humanity, can affect our water planet for generations. Bless the heroes looking after Chernobyl, best effort.

Our planet is connected by air and water. We can do better.

Did you know our breathing air comes more from the ocean than forests? I’m a SCUBA diver and I’ve witnessed reef recovery after pollution, over-fishing and coral bleaching. Like forests, these systems are in place and they benefit humans by supporting phytoplankton which provides us with breathing oxygen.

Wildlife returning to Chernobyl after a nuclear disaster was miraculous. Mother nature needs humanity to let her be, and allow her the space to recover.

Did you know sunflowers absorb radiation?* Sunflowers were planted to assist absorbing nuclear radiation from soil after Hiroshima, Fukushima, and Chernobyl nuclear disasters. Sunflowers are beautiful gifts that merit applause and appreciation.

Sometimes we have to focus on the solutions we can control.

For Earth Day, I recommend the movie Milked, (free on Waterbear currently) to learn some solutions regarding fresh water we can control.
